Arabella Pollack joined Hunter in the Fall of 2019 to establish, lead, and teach in the new Hunter Certificate in Business Studies program.

Pollack’s expertise is in bridging the worlds of academia and business. Prior to Hunter, she spent nine years at Columbia University, where she led the M.S. in Strategic Communication and Executive M.S. in Strategic Communication programs. Pollack was also a Lecturer at Columbia, teaching Strategic Communication Management, Communication Research and Insights, and the Capstone course where students work with organizations to address real world challenges.

Prior to her move into higher education, Pollack built a career in consumer products, with a particular focus on growing aspirational, image-driven brands. With expertise in mixed methods research, Pollack specialized in providing deep understanding of the consumer and translating research insights into profitable growth. Pollack has worked for top-tier organizations, both client and vendor-side, including The Boston Consulting Group, Pernod Ricard, Diageo, and the NPD Group; she has also worked on the brands Absolut Vodka, Lancôme, Bath & Body Works, KIND, and many more.
