Professor George is an applied empirical economist specializing in industrial organization and political economy.  Her current research examines the economics of media markets.  She joined the Department of Economics at Hunter College in 2003 after two years as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at Michigan State University.  She is currently the editor-in-chief of Information Economics and Policy.

Professor George maintains a media economics page with links to seminars, conferences and other material related to the economics of media markets.

Professor George is on leave at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania for the 2011-2012 academic year.
