Professor Nyman received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1996 and has been at Hunter since 1998. His research is in the fields of corporate finance and microeconomics. He has investigated the effect of financial friction and information asymmetries on corporate investment. He has also studied how economic agents use information when they come under competitive pressure.
